For the first time, the Huskies sent a team to the USAT Long Course National Championships hosted by the Redman Triathlon in Oklahoma City. All three bikes, and athletes survived the flight. On Friday before the race, we swam part of the course and drove the entire bike course. The swim was in Lake Hefner, which is only open to swimmers this one day. 948 athletes were signed up for the race. Jeevan raced to an ~20 minute PR of 4:26, winning the M20-24AG. Briana similarly raced to a ~30 minute PR of 5:01, winning the F20-24AG. Jason finished with a 35 minute PR of 4:46, finishing 74th OA and 11th in his division. All three athletes had put a lot of training and focus throughout the summer, and it paid off. Good luck at worlds!
